Molded pulp products are made to be better, at dealing with moisture and grease. They use coatings that are based on water. These coatings help the products work well. Sometimes these coatings have fluorinated compounds in them. When they do the final molded pulp products can still have much of these compounds. This means they can exceed the limits set by the PPWR thresholds for molded pulp products.
